Coffee with a Cop (Creswick)

Coffee with a Cop (Creswick)

Creswick IGA CarparkCreswick, VIC
Wednesday, Mar 11 from 10 am to 12:30 pm
Overview

Meet local police over coffee, ask questions, discuss safety and build connections. Free SafePL8 anti-theft screws also available.

Coffee with a Cop is a free, casual community event where you can meet and chat with your local Victoria Police officers over a FREE coffee. There’s no formal presentation, no speeches and no need to register a question in advance. Just drop in, say hello and have a conversation.

The idea is simple. Police and community members come together in a relaxed setting to talk about local safety, ask questions, share concerns or simply get to know one another. These one-on-one conversations help build trust, strengthen relationships and make it easier for people to connect with their local police in a friendly and approachable way.

Coffee with a Cop began in 2011 as a way to break down barriers between police and the community. Since then, the initiative has been held in thousands of communities around the world, creating opportunities for open dialogue and stronger community policing.

At these sessions, Victoria Police will also be offering the SafePL8 initiative, where community members can have free anti-theft screws fitted to their vehicle number plates. Number plate theft is a common crime that can lead to plates being used in other offences. SafePL8 screws make plates much harder to remove, helping protect your vehicle and reduce illegal use.

Whether you have a question, a concern, or just want to introduce yourself to the officers who work in your area, you’re welcome to drop in. No agenda, no pressure, just a conversation over coffee.

Everyone in the community is welcome.
