Food Eating Contest:
Extending the spirit of Australia Day across the weekend each day will be an eating contest featuring the true blue Aussie Snag in bread. On Thursday Jan 26th, Friday Jan 27th and Saturday Jan 28th (with a very special extra contest for pets!) contestants will go head to head, snag for snag until a winner is declared. On Sunday Jan 29th, the winners are invited back for the grand final where the truest, bluest, biggest belly eater will be crowned with an award ceremony where all the proceedings are donated to local organizations. Tickets to the food eating contest are $30 and get you 10 snags in bread (condiments optional). Competitors have a 3 minute time limit to eat as many as they can or until completed! Don’t worry if you can’t finish 10, they’re still all yours to keep to give to whoever you please (don’t stress if your friends are full, there will be plenty of hungry tummy’s watching the completion).
All proceeds from entry fee’s and crowd donations go to local charities and organizations.
1) These competitions are in the name of fun, and raising funds for a good cause. Bring your appetite, but more importantly bring a smile and a good attitude – we do not condone unnatural or inhumane conducts in preparation for these events for both your health and your pets. Any conduct not in line with our ethos will result in your disqualification from the event and ejection from the festival. Prizes are non monetary.
2) To ensure the safety of all animals, the pet food eating completion will be sausages only (no bread), and ensuring there is no unhealthy intake is the owners responsibility. All owners must adhere to the comments made out in point 1.
