Big Dance is the largest free celebration of dance in the world and it's hitting Australia in 2018!

Presented by Ausdance Victoria, Big Dance is a free participatory dance festival, a celebration of dance for all ages and all levels of ability. Join thousands of people around Australia to perform the Big Dance, choreographed by acclaimed choreographers, Frances Rings and Craig Bary.

In partnership with Clunes Neighbourhood House, this workshop will be held to help you learn the Big Dance routine. These sessions are free and open to people of all ages and abilities. Register to secure your spot as spaces are limited.

No prior dance experience is necessary to participate.
This is an inclusive event. If you require mobility assistance or an interpreter, please let us know.

What can I bring into the workshop?

Wear comfortable clothes to move in and bring water to stay hydrated. Pack some snacks to munch on after the session. Bring lots of energy and enthusiasm, and get ready to learn the Big Dance!

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the workshop?

We aim to be environmentally sustainable for our our workshops and events. You do not need to print your confirmation email. Just let us know your name at the door.

Do I have to attend all the workshops?

No, you don't have to attend all the workshops. You can attend one session and practice the routine at home using our Big Dance online tutorial on the website. We also encourage you to get your family and friends to join you, to practice the routine together and join the rest of Australia to do the Big Dance on 29 April!

What if I can no longer make it for the workshop?

Due to limited spaces, we kindly ask that you only register if you are confident you can attend. We understand that at times, circumstances change unexpectedly. If you cannot attend and need to cancel your registration, please inform us at info@bigdance.org.au 24 hours before the event so that we can offer your spot to someone on the waiting list.

When and where is the Big Dance 2018 Main Event?

29th April (International Dance Day) 1pm - 4pm. The Big Dance being performed at 2:30pm
