Climates 10 Year Anniversary Event
We're celebrating 10 years of enabling climate action, elevating frontline voices, and supporting communities building climate resilience.
Climates invites you to come celebrate our 10th Birthday on February 19 at Fringe Common Rooms in Carlton.
Over the past decade, hundreds of people and organisations have been part of our journey towards supporting frontline communities and amplifying their voices for climate justice.
We couldn't have done it without all of the wonderful volunteers, donors, supporters, partners and friends of Climates, and we want to celebrate this milestone with all of you.
Join us to celebrate with live music, Pacifika performances, inspiring climate stories, food and drinks and a chance to connect with a long-standing community, celebratory vibes and a good time.
What to expect
Hear from global and national climate leaders including:
- Dr. Maina Talia, The Hon. Minister for Climate Change of the Tuvalu Government
- Joseph Sikulu, The Pacific Movement Lead at the Sunrise Project
- Tishiko King, The Founder of Just Futures Collab
- Tamika Sadler, First Nations Justice Campaigner at Common Threads.
Come along and learn about the positive impact Climates has had over the last decade through our climate justice stories showcase. Contribute to Climates' next rounds of Micro Grants through a raffle and silent auction, and take away some great items, vouchers and experiences.
Enjoy local Naarm based Pasifika music and dance performances, and share food and drinks while catching up and with the Climates community.
Fundraising
All proceeds from ticket sales and donations go directly to frontline communities through our Micro Grants program, which has supported over 70 climate resilience initiatives to date.
Fundraising activities will include a raffle with many great items generously donated from local sustainable and ethical businesses, and a silent auction with artwork donated by local artists available for auction.
