Clarence Town River Country Hoedown
Sat. 22 October 2016, 8:00 am – 11:00 pm AEDT
Clarence Town's 1st annual River Country Hoedown strives to be a festival where residents, families, musicians, and music lovers can join together to enjoy quality music, share ideas, learn new music skills, and share in a great day of country entertainment in a beautiful location, and in doing so attract audiences from the greater Hunter, Sydney, Central Coast, and Mid-North coast areas.
The festival will begin with a “Bushman’s Breakfast” at the Clarence Town School of Arts hall at 8am which will include bush poetry and ballads, then will move to the Clarence Town Footy Oval where festival goers will have the opportunity to browse boutique food and market stalls, participate in the open mic and talent quests, join in the range of organised country games (billy boiling and whip cracking competitions, sack races, apple bobbing ect.), or sit in on one of the music workshops which are to be held at the Clarence Town Bowling Club. The day will wrap up with an evening concert at Clarence Town Reserve headlining Bill Chambers finishing at 11:00pm.
