Circular Systems Engineering - Industry Workshop
Join industry and research leaders to shape circular systems solutions, R&D priorities, and policy making.
You are invited to participate in a focused industry workshop hosted by the Industrial Transformation Training Centre on Circular Systems Engineering, a national initiative supported by a consortium of leading universities including University of Sydney, Monash University, University of Adelaide, Murdoch University, University of Canterbury, University of Auckland, and Central Queensland University.
The workshop will explore how circular systems engineering can address critical capability gaps across process engineering, advanced manufacturing, energy, mining, and resource recovery, supporting industrial transformation aligned with Australian and global sustainability priorities.
Workshop focus
- Key industry challenges and national and global responses through a circular systems lens
- Future research and development priorities in circularity and systems engineering
- Practical pathways for collaboration between industry, researchers, and policy stakeholders
The program will include industry-informed presentations, panel discussions, and structured opportunities to exchange insights with peers across sectors working on circular systems solutions.
The workshop will also feature a presentation by Australia’s first Chief Circular Engineer, Professor Ali Abbas.
This workshop provides a platform to contribute to the direction, application, and impact of circular systems engineering in industry.
