About this event

The EMRC in collaboration with government, industry, global and national experts has designed a unique and leading edge WA Circular Economy Masterclass program specifically tailored to senior sustainability leaders, CEOs, other executives and experienced professionals, public sector leaders, academics and business/industry leaders from diverse backgrounds who are involved in sustainability, renewable energy, waste management, resource recovery, environment, climate change, and/or water resource management.

The EMRC Masterclass is partly funded by the Waste Authority through a Waste Sorted grant and will be an exclusive and unique practitioners’ program that will provide WA business, industry, government and local government leaders with the practical skills and knowledge to make a difference in and drive the Circular Economy in WA.

There is a global movement for transitioning the world from a linear economy to a Circular Economy and the aim of this Masterclass is to bring together senior decisions makers from WA and strategise how they can lead the state in joining this movement.

The event will inspire agency leaders in WA and kick start the debate, thought process and actions on the Circular Economy.

The Circular Economy Masterclass is a three-day event to be held at Optus Stadium:

  • Wednesday 9 June 9:00am to 4:00pm
  • Thursday 10 June 9:00am to 4:00pm
  • Friday 11 June 9:00am to 2:30pm

• Days 1 and 2 will comprise presentations followed by a tour in the afternoon of day two.

• Day 3 will be for attendees to prepare their own CE Plan, for either themselves or their organisations followed by a Circular Economy Round Table to prepare a roadmap for WA to become a Circular Economy Leader and create an Alumni of Circular Economy Advocates.

The final agenda and details of the event will be sent to your email address once it is finalised.

Prospective attendees who find themselves unable to attend the Circular Economy Masterclass are most welcome to nominate a substitute.

All substitutions must be made via email to theresa.eckstein@emrc.org.au or (08) 9424 2203

As the group will be limited to 25, acceptance will be on a first in first served basis.
