CIRCUIT BREAKER (MASTERCLASS FOR EDUCATORS)
Mon. 16 October 2017, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm AEST
Artists are some of the most experimental and innovative creators of technology — repurposing, tinkering and expanding our perceptions of this ever-changing field. To coincide with a major exhibition of leading international artists working in the medium, QUT Art Museum together with The Cube will offer this one-day masterclass.
Educators will learn how to use littleBits — electronic modules that snap together to create circuits — and be inspired by cross-curricula learning and teaching that can be implemented in the classroom. The masterclass will provide hands-on experimentation with littleBits and everyday materials to develop interactive artworks that make noise, light up and respond to movement.
This program is held at QUT Art Museum and includes a curator-led tour of a technological themed exhibition.
