Join Nikon Australia for a special film screening and filmmaking workshop featuring Australian filmmakers Divya Gordon and Ali Vann, centred around the newly released short film, PAUSE.
This event combines a cinematic screening with an in-depth look at PAUSE was conceived, produced, and brought to life. Divya and Ali will unpack their creative and production processes, sharing practical industry knowledge and trade secrets around developing ideas, getting projects off the ground, and navigating the realities of independent film production.
Attendees will gain insight into what’s involved in moving a project from concept to screen, including pitching, collaboration, production planning, and the creative decision-making required to bring a vision to life with honest discussion around what worked, what didn’t, and the workarounds used along the way.
The session will also explore how the short film was shot using the Nikon ZR, with technical breakdowns of key scenes, camera performance, and on-set workflows.
Following the talks, attendees will have the opportunity to get hands-on with the Nikon ZR, explore its video features, and ask questions directly with guidance from the filmmakers.
