This workshop will increase knowledge of, and capacity to respond to problem and harmful sexual behaviours in children and young people

About this event

Incorporating child development and trauma informed frameworks of practice, the workshop will cover the following areas:

  • Introduction to sexual violence in context of children and young people
  • Identifying problem and harmful sexual behaviours
  • Understanding context, dynamics and factors that contributing to Problem and Harmful Sexual Behaviours
  • Understand the legal context of harmful and problem sexual behaviours
  • Intervening and redirecting behaviors
  • Communicating with parents and carers
  • Safety planning
  • Working with the service system
  • Legal responsibilities
  • Staff wellbeing & support

* A light lunch is provided - dietary requirements are requested when booking event

** A certificate of participation is provided upon completion

*** The workshop will be delivered online if face to face training is not possible due to covid 19 restrictions

Organiser of Children and Young People who display Problem & Harmful Sexual Behaviours

CASACV's services are for people who have experienced sexual assault, either recently or in the past.  Adults, young people and children, of all gender identifications, are able to use our services.

​We provide information and support for family or community members who may feel impacted by sexual assault. We provide intensive, long term counselling for children and young people (0-18) who have engaged in problem sexual behaviours.
