Kalyana Friendship Community is an inclusive community of compassionate humans from all age groups that meet twice a month to listen to each other & cultivate mindfulness practices inspired by the Buddhist path to contentment & peace that help shape a happy society while respecting each other’s spiritual backgrounds.

We meet up to meditate, engage in awareness talks, spiritual teachings, retreats, music evenings, movie nights, picnics, hikes & all other special events and are based in Perth, Western Australia that is associated with the Buddhist Society of WA.

Kalyana means good, the name is derived from Kalyana Mitta which is spiritual/good friend in Pali. Our group aims to provide a platform where like-minded people can come together and support each other on the journey of life. We welcome everyone- from practicing Buddhists to those who are maybe just interested in particular aspects of Buddhism, like meditation, and would like to find out more.

We meet every 2 & 4 Saturday of the month at Dhammaloka Buddhist Centre in Nollamara. Our sessions normally run from 5-6pm and are facilitated by a member of the monastic community. We also organise various social activities.

If you would like more information you are welcome to post on our group. Alternatively, if you would like to attend, please feel free to just turn up! :)
