Charles Leadbeater - Innovating the National Economy and Civic Centres

Charles Leadbeater is a former adviser to the UK Government on innovation, TED speaker, and author. He is a world renowned expert on innovating economies on the macro and micro level.
Charles Leadbeater works internationally as an independent strategic adviser on innovation to governments, cities and organisations both public and private.
He was an advisor to the UK government at the Department of Trade and Industry, where he wrote the 1998 White Paper Building the Knowledge Driven Economy. He worked closely with Prime Minister Tony Blair, Peter Mandelson and David Miliband, the former foreign secretary, as a strategic advisor in several government departments.
Charles is chair of the social enterprise Apps 4 Good, a winner of the £500,000 Google Global Impact Challenge.
Charles will be speaking on invigorating national economies post GFC and developing civic centres. This talk is for professionals with a strong interest in innovation policy from the public and private sectors.
