Changing The Way We Think About Work
Event Information
Description
With global employee engagement at 13%, and just 24% in Australia (Gallup 2013), it’s clear that traditional business management models need to be challenged.
3 Things This Workshop Will Teach You:
-
How To use numbers to rapidly identify the Health of your Business:
Lets face it nobody loves numbers. But numbers are the DNA of your business - the best means of education as to the health of your business. What are the percentages and trends that deserve your focus? -
How to Identify the Key Lever that will drive Growth:
The critical number is the one thing that most clearly defines winning for your company. It provides a focal point for the company and its employees. Without a focal point, it’s so easy for a company and its employees to bounce from problem to problem and from metric to metric. -
How to Create a High Performance Culture
Employees want two things: to feel like they matter and to make a difference. Nothing more, nothing less. Employee engagement is one of the best indicators of business health. Open-book management helps employees connect their jobs to the company’s mission, vision, values and performance. By participating in the company’s success and having a stake in the outcome, they feel that they really do matter.
Comprehensive handouts will be provided to serve as an on-going reference.
Who is it for:
This workshop is designed to give business owners, managers, and future leaders the tools to work in a new business paradigm.
The Why:
At a time when companies are looking for every source of competitive advantage, the workforce itself represents the largest reservoir of untapped potential.
Based on the principles of openness and transparency, this workshop introduces a completely different way of running a business; a way of running a business that not only improves business results, but the lives of people who drive those results.
This workshop will teach you a way of running a business that creates a culture of alignment, engagement, innovation, collaboration, discipline, accountability, and high performance.
Our inspiration is The Great Game of Business, which is based on a simple, yet powerful belief: The best, most efficient, most profitable way to operate a business is to educate everyone on how the business works, give them a voice in saying how the company is run and provide them a stake in the financial outcome, good or bad.
It starts with a sincere belief in people and fostering mutual respect and trust – it doesn’t just build businesses, it builds people.
Join us as we introduce you to a new way of running your business - one that improves your business results as well as the lives of the people driving those results.
We are pleased and thankful to be graciously hosted by Inspire9 - Melbourne’s original community-led coworking space for Melbourne’s startups, freelancers and creatives.
