Event description


As part of a national tour of Australia, Football NSW in conjunction with the FFA, will provide a range of seminars and workshops with one of the world's foremost leaders in the area of children's and youth sport.

John O'Sullivan, of the Changing the Game Project, spent two decades as a soccer player and coach at the youth, high school, college and professional level. He is the author of the #1 bestselling books Changing the Game: The Parents Guide to Raising Happy, High Performing Athletes, and Giving Youth Sports Back to our Kids and Is it Wise to Specialize?

There will be three sessions in Sydney:

1. an evening session for Parents, Coaches and Administrators - conducted on Friday evening 16th February at the Manly Warringah Football Club, Cromer Park, Dee Why

2. a Full Day Workshop for Coaches, Club Officials and Administrators on Saturday 17th February at Football NSW Headquarters, Valentine Sports Park, Glenwood

3. a morning session for Parents, Coaches and Administrators - conducted on Sunday morning 18th February at The Hangar, Bonnet Bay FC, Lakewood City Reserve, Coolidge Crescent, Bonnet Bay

Attendance is free but registration is essential for control of numbers and catering purposes.

Registrations are now open and confirmation and further information will be provided in the New Year.

A little bit more about John .......

John’s work has been featured in The Huffington Post,, Outside Magazine,, Soccer America and numerous other publications. John is an internationally known speaker for coaches, parents and youth sports organizations, and has spoken for TEDx, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, US Lacrosse, IMG Academy, and at numerous other events throughout the US, Canada, Asia and Europe.

When he speaks, John brings to the table a wealth of practical, hands on knowledge garnered through years of working with players and their families on sport specific development, fitness and nutrition, college recruiting, and most importantly, training high-performing athletes by creating a player-centered environment.
