Event description
A FREE community workshop to create a chandelier and collect stories that will light into dark places.

About this Event

A creative community engagement project is beginning on Saturday 17th October at the big shed at Nymboida Camping and Canoeing Centre. Simply bring along broken pieces of jewellery and found objects and attach them to a fitting to create a chandelier.

Participants can share the stories of who the pieces belonged to, how they got broken etc and in doing so, nurture healthy conversations about mental health and resilience.

At the end of the project, we will hang the chandelier and shine light into a previously ‘dark’ space. The illumination ceremony will take place at the main event on Saturday 7th November.

The free workshops are hosted by the wonderful Ilona Harker, occurring on three consecutive Saturday afternoons and will be conducted with social distancing measures in place.
