PerkinElmer in partnership with Monash University is excited to invite you to a one-day technical symposium on "Challenges in Soil and Plant Testing for Better Food and Environment". This symposium aims to provide a platform where academics, government and industry researchers come together to share and discuss the current challenges in soil and plant testing.

The symposium covers the following topics: soil sampling, plant tissure sampling, soil/plant/fertilizer testing, interpretation of soil and plant testing results, accreditation of testing labs, inter-lab proficiency test, contaminated soil remediation, and recent research findings in soil and plant nutrient management.

Speakers include:

  • Mr Craig Newman, Australasian Soil and Plant Analysis Council

  • Mr Gavin Rose, Technical Assessor, NATA

  • Mr Nick Drew, Executive Manager, Fertilizer Australia

  • Mr Doug Crawford, Soil Scientist, Agriculture Victoria

  • Prof. Sam Adeloju, Monash University

  • Mr Alan Bull, Associate - Environemental Scientist, Cardno

  • Dr Les Janik, Principal Scientist, CSIRO

The nearest parking lot will be at Building N1 Multilevel Carpark which is highlighted in red in the map below. it can be accessed via Forster Road, Gardiner Road and Bayview Avenue.   

For Invited Speakers and Attendees, a free Parking Permit will be provided. Please park your car first at the Yellow or Green Zone at Building N1 Multilevel Carpark (highlighted in red in the map below) which can be entered via Forster Road, Gardiner Road and Bayview Avenue. And then proceed to the event venue (Building 25, Lecture Theatre S2, highlighted in yellow in the map below) to collect your All Day Parking Permit to be placed in your car.
