How this class is different to the Pottery painting session we also offer?

In this class we are painting on already Gloss Glazed ceramic pieces that do not need to go through the kiln again.

We are using a special over glaze gloss enamel ceramic paint that is then food safe as is with its gloss finish. You can take the items home on the day, and then to set the paint it needs to go into the oven for half an hour which hardens the gloss paint to a strong no scratch surface. This is non-toxic and can still be dishwasher safe using this superior brand paint. We will give you the run through on the day.

This a fun class to see exactly what you will have at the end of the session, compared to the pottery paint using under glaze, which does change colour and effect after the glaze kiln firing.

Take your piece home! At the end of your workshop, you get to take your beautiful piece home with instructions on how to cure the paint in the oven. Ready-to-use glazed ceramic pieces for separate sale on the day. Since this is a beginner class, no kiln is required, and you will take your finished project home at the end of the session.

Oven Cured DirectionsNon-toxic, glazed ceramics are top rack dishwasher safe when cured. To Cure, Air dry for 1 hour. Place in cool oven and heat to 175 degrees and bake for 30 minutes. Allow to cool in oven to room temperature and remove

Session Times for Pre-Glazed are different to the standard ceramic paint sessions, as it is a different introduction and generally alot quicker streamline session. It is a self inspired creative session where best to look up some ideas first on pinterest for inspiration of what you would like to paint as reference on the day
