Dave Toole, Intrepid NZ trekker and grower of amazing plants in Invercargill will be joining the AGSVG to talk about the early snowmelt alpine inhabitants of the Andes.
The presentation will also include travel out into the nearby drier areas of Steppe.
Dave will cover such gems as Jaborosa volkmanii, Callianthemoides semiverticillata, a number of rosulate Violas as well as oddities such as Nastanthus scapigerus and Hoffmannseggia trifoliata.
While the talk is primarily focussed on the flora , Dave will also share some mpressions of the Argentinian people and their way of life.
