-------------- ARTIST BIO’s -----------------

FRECKO:

Somewhere deep within the diverse collective of alt-country, folk and blues music lies the story-telling cadence of Frecko - a father and son duo with a unique musical bond based on a shared love of the Australian character in all its forms and failures. Inspired by the romance of the Australian story, the concrete cowboys are no strangers to putting on a live show. With a broad range of muses, as not every song can be of sadness nor sorrow, and every country artist still requires a truck driving song, their songs aim to cover a vast array of the Australian vernacular for a special night as part of the Acoustic Songwriter Sessions. With a new album to drop in October and the first single from the album ‘Bury Me Deep’ now released, Jack and Jason are keen to get their music to audiences across the country.

“Well done to all involved in this fantastic initiative to get live original music heard on the Central Coast and at such a wonderful venue” we hope to see you out there, cheers J&J.

Woodie McClean:

“Woodie is an old soul walking” ... said the random dude. Sometimes it’s what you overhear that carries furthest. Since discovering a burgeoning love for music at age 14 Woodie McClean, has immersed himself in a rich paddock of Soul, Jazz, Blues, Country Rock, Americana and Pop which underpins his debut ep “Words in Mind”.

A wholesome glimpse into an emerging songwriter with a bittersweet benevolence.

Kate Keighran:

Kate Keighran is an Acoustic Musician from the Central Coast of NSW. Hailed by the Central Coast Advocate as “Central Coast's sweetheart” Kate has a folky rock vibe that echoes her influences of 'way back when' while hinting of her 90's roots.

Her very first EP 'The View' was recorded and produced with Glenn Bidmead at The Goat Farm in 2015 and went on the back burner while the family made their debut. It's all about timing. After well over a decade of working the covers scene along the East Coast of NSW gigging at local pubs and festivals along the sea, Kate's a little older, maybe wiser and keen to get back to her long-lost original music.

Kate is a familiar face having gained popularity across the venues that support her and shares her love of music hosting Open Mics and Karaoke evenings around her local stomping grounds. Her very first original performance is finally booked for The Entrance Lake House on the 28th of June and Kate looks forward to banging out some of her earlier stuff while showcasing a few of the new ones that are ready to come out of the wood work.
