About this event

Join us in welcoming AC Grayling – internationally renowned philosopher, academic and author – en route to sold-out events at the Sydney Writers' Festival.

The pre-eminent philosopher has published more than 30 books and twice judged the Booker Prize.

His latest book is Who Owns the Moon, an exploration of the history of the places that no-one - and therefore everyone - owns. His forthcoming book is Philosophy and Life: Exploring the Great Questions of How to Live.

AC Grayling is Founder and Principal of the New College of the Humanities at Northeastern University, London and Supernumerary Fellow of St Anne's College, Oxford. His books include The God Argument, Democracy and its Crisis and The History of Philosophy. He regularly contributes to publications with an international audience, frequently appears on radio and TV, and advises many committees on world affairs.

Please note:

Tickets include dinner - one course and a glass of wine.

AC Grayling will sign copies of his books on the night.

Please inform us of any food allergies so we can ensure your safety and accommodate your needs. Email books@thebookshopbowral.com.au at least a week before the event.

We are lucky to have access to the mezzanine level at Centennial Vineyards Restaurant, which is upstairs and overlooks the main dining area. It is just as beautiful and comfortable as the main area. Ticketholders in the mezzanine must climb some stairs.

Is the venue accessible for everyone?

Yes. Centennial Vineyards Restaurant has access for people with mobility requirements. We also have a hearing loop in place on the night. Please note that ticketholders to the mezzanine level must climb stairs. Feel free to email books@thebookshopbowral.com.au if you have any questions.
