Celestial Fantasy Events Australia creates extraordinary fan-based events inspired by some of our favourite authors, including Sarah J. Maas and Rebecca Yarros. Dress as your favourite character and lose yourself in immersive experiences filled with unforgettable moments, bookish fun, and lifelong friendships.

These are non-licensed, non-official fan events, a chance to honour the worlds we love, dress up, and relive our fantasy dreams together.

At the Melbourne Ball, universes collide. Step into the pages of your beloved books, where literature comes to life, magic fills the air, and new friends await. Unlike any other ball, this is the night where fantasy worlds blend and you decide which character you’ll become.

Join us for a Dawn Court inspired magical evening designed to bring book lovers together, filled with entertainment, surprises, friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.

AFTERPARTY (DEPENDANT ON TICKET)

• Time: 10pm - 4am
• Address: only provided to ticket holders

Please note: the Afterparty includes exclusive access to a Celestial Fantasy Events-only floor at the venue, complete with our own DJ and a drink on arrival. Entry will require photo ID and meeting venue conditions (e.g. not showing signs of intoxication).

The Afterparty is designed for those who aren’t ready for the magic to end and want to keep dancing into the early hours. The official Celestial Fantasy Events program concludes with the Ball – the Afterparty is simply your chance to enjoy a nightcap, hit the dance floor, and celebrate with friends in true Celestial style.

I’m beyond excited to welcome you to this magical event!

Over the past few years, I’ve had the absolute joy of hosting more than 50 Celestial Events across Australia—from Brisbane to Sydney and Melbourne—for our ever-growing community of fantasy book lovers. We've even taken a tour group all the way to New York! With many guests returning again and again, the Celestial community is known for being incredibly welcoming—especially to new and solo attendees. We even welcomed our first Telstra Best in Business Awards as a Qld Finalist in 2025!

Before Celestial Events, I created large-scale events like Brisbane Fashion Month and Women in Fashion, but building this space for fantasy fans has truly been a dream come true.

For each event, we partner with a different charity that resonates with our attendees. For Melbourne 2026, we conducted a poll featuring various charities close to our hearts. It was a tough choice, as all the organisations are truly deserving of additional support. After careful consideration, we are proud to announce that this year we will be donating to Animal Aid Australia.

Animal Aid is a place of refuge for the lost, unwanted and abandoned animals in our community. They work diligently to reunite lost pets and give a first rate second chance to unwanted animals. They are dedicated to improving the welfare of all companion animals in our society and passionately advocate and facilitate their adoption. They provide services that help people and pets; enthusiastically sharing knowledge and expertise.

The vision is to be leaders in animal welfare; proactively addressing animal homelessness, minimising the number of unwanted animals in our community; and providing premium animal services that deliver complete wellness for companion animals.
