Event description
Celebrating the quality and impact of graduate research and exploring how to increase the “pull through” by industry partners.

About this event

Since its launch twelve months ago ACGR’s Graduate Research Impact Blog has showcased the advances in graduate research education and the quality of the programs and graduates that our universities have supported. By telling the stories of graduate researcher success and their impact, this digital platform has provided a forum to comment on current issues and advances in graduate research and engage with the public and private sectors in discussions about the value that graduate researchers bring to a knowledge-based economy.

But as Minister Tudge recognised at the recent Universities Australia Conference, to maximise the potential of these collaborations and gain the most benefit industry partners and the nation more generally we need:

“ industry commercialisation and research collaboration to be industry driven -not just limited to a supply side focus…..We can’t just rely on pushing ideas through ……. we need businesses to pull them through as well.”

Join ACGR and special guest speaker, Dr Cathy Foley, Australia's Chief Scientist to explore how Australia can ensure we take full advantage of our graduate researchers to build a .knowledge economy and support a business-led recovery.

Following registration delegates will be send a Zoom conferencing link and password to access the webinar. Please note that this event, and any contributions to it,  will be recorded and made available to members of ACGR. By registering, you consent to this recording.
