Event description

Description

Reduce work place injury by learning how to read cat body language and handle and care for them effectively to avoid those nasty scratches and bites whilst also learning how to accommodate their needs and make them as comfortable as possible during the trip to the clinic.

This comprehensive 3 hour workshop covers:

  • Feline behaviour and communication
  • Body language
  • Learning theory basics
  • Helping you maintain a low stress clinic environment
  • How to handle ‘difficult’ cats
  • A practical session demonstrating some helpful towel wrapping techniques.

This is a comprehensive 3 hour workshop and we are running two workshops in one day to enable you to send all of your staff so no one misses out.

Send some of your vets and nurses to the morning workshop and the remainder to the afternoon workshop - all done in one day!!!

Workshop developed by Dr Tracy Henderson BSc BVMS MANZCVSc (Veterinary Behaviour) & Tracy Irons Cert IV (Companion Animal Training), both Directors at Australian Veterinary Behaviour Services.

Workshop presented by Tracy Irons.
