Case Management Practice - 3 x 3hr online sessions

Established in 1986 by the Victorian State Government, the Wodonga Institute of Technical and Further Education (TAFE) is administered by the Minister for Education and Training. The Institute's objectives, as articulated in its Constitution, are to provide quality vocational education and training, and adult, community and further education programs and services that promote the competitiveness of industry, enhance the opportunities of individuals, and service the needs of the general community.

This workshop will help provide you with the foundations of strong case management practice to apply into your own context.

Monday 17th , Tuesday 18th &amp; Friday 21st August 2020   9.30am to 12.30pm each day3 x 3hr sessions    9.30am to 12.30pm         (participants MUST attend all 3 sessions to complete training)Case management practice is a core skill in the child, youth and family services sector.The workshop aims to provide participants with an understanding of case management practice and the various skills that are required to fulfil this role within the community services sectorAt the completion of the program participants will be able to:<ul><li>Demonstrate an understanding of case management practice and models</li><li>Outline the legal requirements of case management within the community services sector </li><li>Understand the theories that underpin case management</li><li>The role ethics plays in case management </li><li>The role and responsibilities of a case manager in various work contexts</li><li>To understand and embed trauma informed practice </li><li>How to complete meaningful documentation </li><li>To develop meaningful case plans &amp; goal setting with clients </li><li>How to work collaboratively with clients and services </li><li>To actively engage clients in the change process</li><li>Engaging complex clients to address their needs</li><li>How to effectively utilise supervision and reflective practice </li><li>How to develop and implement a worker’s wellbeing &amp; self-care plan </li></ul>Kerry Marshall ** Log on details &amp; pre-reading material (if applic) to be emailed to registered participants prior to the date of delivery
