Caring for the Mental Health Carer: Creative Writing – Adult Workshop

Join us in a welcoming, peer-based and non-judgemental environment for a workshop that blends gentle body techniques with creative expression.

Part One – Nervous System Support
Begin with a series of calming practices designed to ease body and mind:

  • Gentle movements
  • Techniques to let go of looping thoughts and worries
  • Support in regaining clarity and freedom of thought

Part Two – Creative Writing with Music & Nature Sounds
Shift into artistic expression through guided creative writing in a relaxing space with soothing music and nature sounds. You’ll:

  • Explore your inner world through sensory writing (using sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell)
  • Choose from suggested prompts or write freely
  • Discover there are no right or wrong answers—just curiosity and exploration
