About this event

  • 4 hours

If you own or manage a property within the Adelaide Hills or Fleurieu Peninsula with remnant native vegetation, and you would like to learn how to care for it, this is the workshop for you! Caring for your native vegetation can leave a lasting legacy and help to conserve our region’s unique native plants and animals.

Join us for a face to face workshop to learn:

· How to assess the type and condition of your native vegetation

· How to recognise and protect the significant natural values in your native vegetation

· How to recognise and reduce the threats to your native vegetation – more than just weeds!

· How to use this information to develop a practical action plan to care for native vegetation on your property.

This workshop will include theory and practical elements, as well as the opportunity to get into the field to look at native vegetation with fellow landowners to put the theory in practice.

As there is a field component you will need to be physically fit and comfortable walking off track. For the property walk, please wear long pants, long sleeves and sturdy shoes. Please also bring a water bottle, hat and sunscreen.

A light meal will be provided at the workshop so please advise us of any dietary requirements.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn, connect with others, and make a positive impact to conserving flora and fauna on your property. Register now!

These workshops are presented by the Landscapes Hills and Fleurieu ‘Stewardship Program’ in partnership with Trees For Life.
