Carers Advisory Council Bunbury event in March

Recognising that carers in regional WA experience significant and unique challenges accessing information, advice, services and support.

The Carers Advisory Council (the Council) recognise that carers in regional Western Australia experience challenges accessing information, advice, services, and support.

Please join members of the Council, carers, government agencies, and service providers as we take part in a “Carers Conversation”. The purpose of this session is to provide a safe forum for carers, and the agencies supporting them, to express their concerns and identify local solutions on the unique issues that carers in the regions encounter.

Data and feedback obtained in this session will contribute to the development of a new whole-of-government WA Carers Strategy and first Action Plan to replace the 2016 strategy, as announced by the Minister for Community Services, Matthew Swinbourn on 14 October 2025, as well as to develop a further understanding of challenges faced by carers in regional WA.
