Join Canberra BoatFest on 11-12 April 2026, for displays of classic and traditional boats with entertainment at the Canberra Yacht Club.

The annual Canberra Traditional Boat Festival will be held at the Canberra Yacht Club on the 11-12th April. On Saturday, as part of the Canberra and Region Heritage Festival, over 30 boats will be on display, including steamboats, electric launches, putt-putts, sailing and rowing craft. A few boats are more than 100 years old. There will be live music, including the ‘Prism Jazz Ensemble’ and 'Sea Shanty Choir 'at the dock from 12:30. Rides available for children on ‘George’ the miniature steam train. On Sunday, boats take part in a Grand Parade from the Canberra Yacht Club to Kingston Harbour, where they can be seen between 10:00 and 11:00 am. The BoatFest is hosted by the Traditional Boat Squadron of Australia. The public program is free of cost.
