Canberra Region Feltmakers Workshop (2 hours)
In these two hour beginner workshops, you will learn how to create some fabulous examples of felted jewellery such as flowers.
The workshops will cover the basic skills of feltmaking, such as laying out and fully felting the piece. Participants will gain an understanding of the felt making process and will take home not only that knowledge but also an interesting piece of felted jewellery.
Two workshops will be held on Saturday 20th May:
10-12pm (with tutors Carol Divall and Linda Abbott)
12-2pm (with tutors Judy Davidson and Bridget Brian)
The workshop is being held in the Fitters Workshop - adjacent to the Old Bus Depot Markets (inside the Former Transport Depot building), overlooking Brodburger and the Canberra Glassworks.
All materials required will be provided in the workshop and is covered in the overall cost.
This workshop is suitable for all beginners - no experience necessary.
A minimum of 6 participants are required for the class to run.
ABOUT THE CANBERRA REGION FELTMAKERS
Canberra Region Feltmakers (CRF) was formed in 1994 by 14 keen felt makers. From those early beginnings, helped along by a cold climate that is good for wearing felt and a region producing fine merino, CRF has developed into an active group with over 100 members from Canberra and the surrounding area.
The group meets each month, runs a busy workshop program and demonstrates felt making at public events.
