Calm the Capable: Resetting Stress with Nutrition, Lifestyle & Herbs

Brightwater Wellness HubMountain Creek, QLD
Friday, Apr 24 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm
Overview

Learn how stress shows up in the body — and how practical shifts in nutrition, daily habits and herbs can help reset it.

Many people who come to see me are very capable.

They care deeply about their work, their families, and the responsibilities they carry. From the outside, they seem to manage everything well. Yet underneath, their body may feel like it never fully switches off.

Sleep becomes lighter.
Digestion feels more sensitive.
The mind keeps running even when the day is over.

This is something I understand not only professionally, but personally. Earlier in my own journey, I also experienced periods where stress quietly shaped how my body felt — and it took time to recognise how closely our nervous system, gut, and daily habits are connected.

Over the years, both through my own learning and through supporting clients, I’ve seen that meaningful change often comes from a few small shifts that help the body feel safe again.

This workshop is an opportunity to explore those shifts together.

In this session we will explore

  • How stress influences the gut, nervous system, and mood
  • Why ongoing stress can quietly contribute to inflammation and chronic health challenges
  • Foods that support calm brain chemistry and gut balance
  • Simple daily practices that help the nervous system reset
  • Herbs traditionally used to support stress resilience

Rather than covering everything about stress, the aim is to help you recognise one pattern that may be affecting your body and learn practical ways to support it.

This workshop may resonate if you notice

  • Difficulty switching off at the end of the day
  • Feeling “wired but tired”
  • Digestive discomfort during stressful periods
  • Sleep that doesn't feel fully restorative
  • A sense that your body is holding tension

You don’t have to change everything overnight. Sometimes understanding one pattern in the body is enough to begin a different kind of shift.

Format

A relaxed small-group session including a short talk, practical examples, and simple demonstrations of supportive practices.

Contribution

$5 community contribution
Limited spots to keep the session small and interactive.
