Come celebrate International Women's Day at Wellways Cairns Carer Hub!

Join us on March 6, 2026 at 10am-12pm to honor the achievements of women in our community. Let's empower each other and inspire positive change. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with amazing women in Cairns.

As part of our Morning Tea we will have a moment for inspired storytelling. If you would like to participate- Please think about a woman who has inspired you- whether its a family member, friend, local or world figure or perhaps it's YOURSELF and share that uplifting story with the group. If you want to bring a printed photograph to share with the group please do so.

In Australia, females are disproportionately represented in caring roles, making upabout two-thirds of all carers, and over 70% of primary carers, providing crucial, often undervalued, unpaid support for family and community.

International Women's Day is a time to reflect on the progress made by women and girls worldwide and to commit to supporting the work that still needs to be done.

*Carer Gateway is a national support service funded by the Australian Government. It provides free services for anyone caring for a family member or friend who has a disability, mental health condition, chronic health condition, terminal illness, or is frail aged.
