The C-TAT level 2 course is taught as per US State Department Guidance for Counter Terrorism.


  • The level 2 course is designed for those in Government, Law Enforcement and involved with corporate security, building upon skills and lessons learned from C-TAT level 1. The course is conducted in the classroom on day 1 and then on location at the venue utilising practical applications.

  • The training you will receive will add to your current base knowledge so that you are better prepared to deter or react to a terror attack. You will leave the course with a much better understanding of IED training devices that are relevant to the current corporate security threat.

  • Case studies of previous attacks are combined with the latest intelligence to provide a comprehensive approach to security awareness.

  • Participants will leave the course with a much better understanding of Active Shooter Reaction Drills, Adversary Method of Attack, UAV Threat, Suspicious Items & Activity, IED Methodology, Blast Effects on Structures, Indicators of Explosive Manufacturing and Enhanced Security Countermeasures.

  • Required to pass a 20 question multiple choice exam in order to be certified by MAC 7 for passing the C-TAT Level Two course.

  • All training is delivered within the US DHS guidlines for preventing terrorism.

  • George J McKerrow, Director of Training for MAC 7, has over 30 years of experience in Counter Terrorism and C-IED, and is CCTP certified.

    George has operational experience in Northern Ireland, Falkland Islands, Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghanistan & Iraq, and has conducted multiple training events in the U.S., United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Slovakia, Thailand & Japan in support of Counter Terrorism.
