Event description

Description

The Centre for Policy Development and EY invite you to join us for a discussion about growing demands for boards and businesses to step up their game on climate risk, and what this means for other sustainability and long-term challenges , moderated by ABC's The Business presenter Elysse Morgan.

Our expert panel will share their views on a breakthrough legal opinion on company directors’ obligations to consider climate change, commissioned by CPD and the Future Business Council in 2016.

This analysis, as well as crucial developments like APRA’s recent leadership on the importance of climate risk, have reshaped the agenda on dealing with the financial implications of climate change.

The panel will feature Sam Mostyn, Chair of Citigroup, Pru Bennett, Director - Head of Asia Pacific Corporate Governance and Responsible Investment, BlackRock, Maged Girgis, MinterEllison and Matthew Bell, Oceania Managing Partner Climate Change and Sustainability Services, Ernst & Young.

Come along to hear first-hand insights from some of Australia’s leading experts on how environmental, economic and regulatory changes are reshaping business and investor responses to climate and sustainability.
