I am not really interested in clinic ownership, is the BLP still relevant for me?

The BLP is designed for anyone that wants to increase their understanding of business and provides a great opportunity to network with other people from Healthia even if you aren’t interested in ownership. The best thing to do is to discuss your career goals with your clinic or regional partner.

What are the dates for the face-to-face workshops and where are they?

There are two face-to-face workshops held in Brisbane on Saturday the 28th of February and Saturday the13th of June 2026.

Question 3

Is attendance at the face-to-face workshops compulsory?

Yes. The workshops are very interactive and involve group work as well as the opportunity to get to know those in your allocated small group. This makes the online learning sessions much more enjoyable, collaborative and informal.

How do I pay for the BLP*?

Healthia offers participants the option to pay for the BLP ($1300) via a Salary Deduction Agreement through payroll. This arrangement allows pre-tax deductions, providing benefits normally available to individuals for professional education. *Use 2026 BLP promo code when checking out

How does the Salary Deduction Agreement work?

On registration, you will be asked to select either upfront payment or payment across 10 pay cycles. P&C will issue you with an agreement, which should be electronically accepted and signed, through FoundU. You will not be able to participate in the BLP until this process has been completed.

Question 6

Can I claim CPD points for the BLP?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Just like any PD you do, as long as you are documenting your hours, your key learnings and your reflections, the BLP is certainly appropriate to log as CPD hours.

Question 7

Should I catch up with my group between the mentoring sessions?

Accepted Answer

Yes! This is a key part of enjoying and getting the most out of the BLP. The people who have found it most enjoyable and rewarding are those that organise a time with their group to discuss the tasks that will be discussed in the upcoming session before the actual facilitated session.

What if I start and have to withdraw?

We are acutely aware that unexpected events occur that may impact on your ability to attend some sessions or complete the BLP. If this happens, please contact the PD team and we will work with you to sort out the best option.

Question 9

Is there a formal qualification for completing the BLP?

Accepted Answer

No. Other than getting a nice certificate of completion from Healthia (!), there are no formal qualifications associated with completing the BLP. It is recognised widely across the whole group and is a unique benefit of being part of the Healthia family

Will I be in a group with people from my discipline?

Accepted Answer

Everyone attends the same workshops together although each discipline will have slightly different tasks to complete. For the monthly mentoring sessions, you will be in a group with people from the same discipline and/or who have similar roles but may also be with people from different disciplines.

How many hours a week should I spend on the BLP?

This is a tricky one to answer! Previous participants have estimated an average of 2 hours a week of self-directed learning and putting into practice some of the key learnings is about right. Some of the enthusiastic participants have spent up to 4 hours per week!
