Prepare your family and property now, so everyone knows the actions to take in the event of a bushfire or extreme weather.

• Do you live within a few kilometres of bushland?
• Do you have trees and shrubs within 20 metres of your home?
• Do you live along the coast near scrub?
• Do you live on a farm or near paddocks?
• Do you live on a large property?
The Bushfire and Storm Awareness information sessions will provide the Redlands Coast community with expert advice on bushfire and storm preparedness and the new Australian warning system.
The information sessions will include presentations from:
• Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES)
• State Emergency Service (SES)
• Disaster Management, Redland City Council
• Development and Control, Redland City Council
• Fire Management and Conservation, Redland City Council
• Environmental Partnerships, Redland City Council
You will learn about:
• The bushfire and flood risks in your local area
• How to mitigate risks specific to your property and prepare your home for bushfire & storms
• Information and support available to you through Redland City Council
• How to stay informed during disaster events.
You will have:
• The opportunity to ask questions.
