Bush Kindy Teaching - Bush Babes, Bahrs Scrub - 12th March 2026
Join our nature-based program! An outdoor play-based program with songs, stories & sensory activities for families with children 0-5yr.
The sessions are facilitated by Areta Farrance - Early Childhood Teacher, Trainer and Bush Kindy Leader for over 20 years. Providing a range of age/stage appropriate experiences that are open-ended and supportive of all abilities. Areta is excited to work with you all in creating a community inspired program. Each session will be providing songs, stories, bush play and sensory exploration, nature craft and more.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU REGISTER
- COST: Free -1 x ticket per family
- AGE: 0 - 5 years (older siblings welcome)
- Please note, all children are to be supervised by their guardians at all times.
- If you cannot attend, please cancel your booking online via Eventbrite
ON THE DAY
- All children attending must be dressed appropriately for outdoor activities and weather conditions. It is recommended to bring a spare change of clothes as sessions may include messy play.
- Children (walkers) and parents should wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothing, and dress in layers to accommodate changing weather.
- Sunscreen, hats, and insect repellent should be applied before arrival.
- Please bring own drinking water and snacks.
- This session will go ahead in rain, but are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day. Follow on Facebook or Instagram for program updates.
PATTERN OF THE MORNING
- 9:30am Arrive – Sign in with Areta
- Eat own snacks as you please
- Nature Play (child-directed)
- 10:30 small bushwalk along Billabong trail with Areta (optional)
- 11am story and group goodbye songs/story time (optional)
- Pack up time 11:20am
