Discover, learn and connect with the natural wonders of the environment through stories and rhymes with the Library team at Bush Kindy.

Come along for a special Bush Kindy celebrating Harmony Week and make memories with your little ones as they take part in story-time and rhymes in the natural environment. Bush Kindy sessions can go for up to 45 minutes and themes vary each week.

Bush Kindy is for children aged 3 - 5 years, alongside their parents and carers. This session is presented in partnership with Brisbane City Council Libraries and First 5 Forever. First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, co-ordinated by the State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government.

COST: Free.

AGE: Suitable for ages 3 - 5 years.

BOOKINGS: Required via Eventbrite. Maximum 5 tickets.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU REGISTER

  • A ratio of 1 adult per 4 children is required.
  • All adults and children (including infants) must have a ticket.
  • As this event is popular and places limited, late arrival tickets will be forfeited to make way for available attendees.
  • Please cancel online via Eventbrite if you cannot attend.

REQUIREMENTS ON THE DAY:

  • Arrive minimum 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the centre.
  • All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult.
  • Wear a hat, sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed walking shoes (no thongs or open shoes please), sunscreen, and bring insect repellent.
  • Suitable old clothes recommended for messy play.
  • Bring water and a snack if required, as there are no food outlets on site.

Note: Outdoor events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
