This FREE event was proposed by Cessnock City Council Mayor, Bob Pynsent and is funded through joint NSW and Commonwealth Government Bush fire Community Resilience and Economic Recovery Funds: Phase 1.
The aim of this community event is to celebrate community connections and bring neighbours together to acknowledge the outstanding commitment of all volunteers who worked to support the communities of the greater Wollombi Valley & beyond (stretching from Bucketty to Branxton & everywhere in between) during the 2019/2020 bush fires.
All local (Cessnock LGA) RFS Brigade volunteers, families & friends are invited, as well as any other community organisation volunteers and residents who have been impacted by the fires or live in the greater Wollombi Valley.
Entry is Free. Tickets include:
- 1 meal per person, supplied by local Wollombi Catering company (Mexican Cantina Van & Hamburger Van).
- Popcorn, Fairy Floss, Ice Cream
- Soft drinks & water
- Jumping Castle & Inflatable Slide
- Outdoor Cinema - Family Friendly Movie (TBC)
- Live Music - with local bands
COVID safe protocols apply. Registration via this ticketing system is essential to allow COVID Contact Tracing details. Please obtain a ticket for each family member attending and print your ticket & bring with you on the night.
Bring your own picnic rug to allow physical distancing during the event.
