The Bulimba Creek Paddle Against Plastic is on again. This time we are at Minnippi Parklands, a beautiful part of the river to paddle. This part of the creek has a lot of debris washed in from surrounding streets and due to the area flooding it is up on the banks, as well as stuck in the trees that have fallen in the river.

Together with the team from Bulimba Creek Catchment Co-ordinating Committee (B4C) we will attack both land and water. Bring your paddle craft of any type. Kayaks, canoes, SUP's, inflatable boats, whatever you have, come on down and help us out to clean the creek. If you don't have a craft, you can rent one of ours with the small fee going to help keep our fleet maintained.

This is a child friendly event and we encourage you to bring the family along to help them understand that keeping our waterways clean is essential for the wellbeing of marine life. Last year we even saw small turtles in the river!!!

Meet in Preston Road Park off Meadowloands Road, Carindale and we'll launch using the pontoon under the bridge. We'll provide all the cleaning tools however please wear appropriate clothing for long grass. Solid shoes is a great idea, ones that can get wet are perfect.
