After our very first BuildHer workshop and focus group in December, one message rang loud and clear:
“We want more spaces to connect with women who truly understand this industry.”
The juggle.
The pressure to prove yourself.
The pride in succeeding in a space that has traditionally been male-dominated.
The quiet resilience it takes to build a career while building a life.
So we’re creating that space.
Our very first BuildHer Walk, Talk & Connect is a relaxed, welcoming morning designed to bring together women working across the building and construction industry. Whether you’re a student, freelancer, architect, designer, tradie, project manager, supplier, or working behind the scenes in a trade business, this is for you.
No pitches.
No pressure.
Just genuine connection.
We’ll meet at 9:30am at Fairfield Boathouse Park and head off for a gentle walk around the park. The format is simple and intentional. Walking side by side changes conversations. It softens them. It opens them. It allows connection to happen naturally.
After the walk, we’ll finish at the café for a cuppa and brunch for those who’d like to stay. The event is free, with everyone covering their own food and drinks.
