Build Your Future

Victorian Local Learning and Employment Networks

A unique careers event where students and careers staff can engage with inspiring people from the civil construction industry.

Melbourne Polytechnic (Heidelberg)

Build Your Future is an opportunity for secondary students and Careers & Pathways/ VET Coordinators to learn about careers in civil construction and pathways into the industry. This is not your traditional careers event. Instead of lengthy presentations or handfuls of brochures, students will explore their interests, strengths and skills and engage in one-on-one discussions with future-focused employers. We want all young people in attendance to feel inspired, confident and informed about the range of careers in civil construction. The event is also open to careers and pathways coordinators and LLEN staff as a chance for professional development and networking regarding the breadth of career pathways available in the industry.
