Buddhism & Nonduality
Explore Nonduality with David O’Rose - the insight that life isn’t split, but is one seamless movement!
“Sit quietly, doing nothing… spring comes.”
This Zen reminder points toward nonduality - the insight that life isn’t split into self and other, sacred and ordinary, but is one seamless movement.
In this accessible talk on Buddhism and Nonduality, David O’Rose will explore how these teachings illuminate everyday experience without requiring belief or background. Through two follow-up optional meditation sessions, you’ll learn simple practices for grounding attention, loosening habitual thinking, and meeting life with greater clarity. Whether you’re curious, skeptical, or already practicing, this series offers a welcoming doorway into a profound yet practical way of seeing.
- Talk – Tuesday 24 February 7pm-8:30pm
- Optional lunchtime meditations – Thursday 5 and 12 March 12:15-1:00pm

Teacher profile:
David O'Rose
David’s interest in Zen Buddhism began following what he now understands as a call to truth seeking masquerading as a personal crisis in his early forties. Prior to that he pursued a conventional path as a doctor and psychiatrist. That identity completely evaporated and he found himself working in Hong Kong as a consciousness teacher individually and in groups.
He is happy to be in the Blue Mountains where he lives with his wife Laksmi surrounded by breathtaking beauty, an ideal setting for the flowering of awareness. Thich Nhat Hanh has been a particularly influential teacher.
