Bruce Munro: Tropical Light Self-Guided Walk

Event description

‘Bruce Munro: Tropical Light’ is an outdoor exhibition featuring the work of world renowned artist, Bruce Munro. The exhibition stretches across the Darwin City and Waterfront and activates many of Darwin’s beautiful park areas.

The theme of the exhibition explores Darwin and the Tropical Summer and is expressed through light, visual art and story.

At the very least ‘Bruce Munro: Tropical Light’ is a FREE experience where you can walk around at your own leisure and view the exhibition. You can start at any location on the map and view all the sculptures or just a few, depending on how much time you have, though we have designed the exhibition as a tour with a designated start point at Civic Park.

There is an audio story that accompanies the walk. Details and the download link will be on the Tropical Light Self-Guided Walk info page on the Tropical Light website from mid October. An alert will be sent to all those that register here.

Key Info to note:

Thursday, Friday and Saturdays are the best nights for those with prams or wheelchairs, as we will have road closures to assist moving about.

Please wear walking shoes. It is a 2.5km path.

Don't forget your headphones to listen to the audio story. Download the audio story app prior to your event night.

Handy items to bring: Misting water-bottle, hand fan, umbrella.
