This year we will be showing Conor O'Toole's new action comedy film about Mags (Roxanna Nic Liam) getting her bike robbed then trying to rob it back.
Event opens at 5.30pm. Movie screening starts at 6.00pm
Bicycle Thieves: Pumped UP
Mags (Roxanna Nic Liam) is a hot-headed pizza delivery cyclist who reckons herself to be entirely self-sufficient, but is barely getting by amidst the property crisis in Dublin. She’s struggling to keep her job due to her ferocious temper and keep up with the rent increases her middle-class housemates can easily afford. She longs to join a collective of Couriers, the highest echelon of bicycle work in the city, but when her bike is stolen and she loses her job, her evection seems inevitable, and her dreams crushed. With nowhere else to go, Mags must hunt down the thief who stole her bike and steal it back. But first Mags must overcome her aversion to asking for help if she’s going to succeed, because this is no ordinary thief, she’s hunting…Part investigative thriller, part heist, part magical-realist action comedy, and definitely a wild ride from start to finish.
