Join us for our free 5-week content creation workshop series at Studio 2166 in the Whitlam Library Cabramatta and volunteer as a member of the media crew at Fairfield City Council's Bring It On! Youth Festival 2025 alongside the pros. DINNER PROVIDED! What you learn:This free workshop series will give you a taster of what it's like to be a podcaster or media presenter having an artist on your show. During each of the 5 weeks you learn different aspects of content creation and work towards creating and filming real life interviews with up-and-coming local artists.Each week will cover: <ul><li>How to use audio and studio equipment to record sound</li><li>Basics in videography - how to set up and operate a camera</li><li>Interview skills - how to structure interviews, presenting tips, helping guests feel safe on camera, researching your artists to come up with good questions</li><li>Getting ready for the big day - finalising your interview questions to record in real life at Bring It On! Interview artists with support from your mentors</li></ul> Workshop and Festival Dates:Sessions run Tuesdays, 5:30pm-7:30pm at Studio 2166, Whitlam Library Cabramatta (Level 1, 165 Railway Pde, Cabramatta) from 25 Feb to 25 March 2025.The workshops will build up towards the Bring It On! Festival at the Fairfield Showground during Youth Week<ul><li>Week 1: 25 February 2025</li><li>Week 2: 4 March 2025</li><li>Week 3: 11 March 2025</li><li>Week 4: 18 March 2025</li><li>Week 5: 25 March 2025</li><li>Bring It On! Festival: Sunday 13 April 2025 (2pm-8pm)</li></ul> Who can register?<ul><li>To register for the workshops, you must be aged between 14-24. These workshops are best for skill levels ranging from beginner to intermediate.</li><li>As part of Fairfield City Council's local Youth Week program, these workshops are open to people living in and around the Fairfield City area. Priority will be given to those living in a suburb in the <a href="https://www.fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au/Your-Council/Fairfield-City-Profile#section-3" title="https://www.fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au/Your-Council/Fairfield-City-Profile#section-3" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Fairfield Local Government Area</a>.</li></ul> About the Bring It On! Youth Festival:The Bring It On! Youth Festival is Fairfield City's annual major Youth Week event featuring local musicians, dance, competitions, activities and more.
