Bridge Fellowship Hobart Watch Party (March)

Bridge Fellowship Hobart Watch Party (March)

Sypkes' offices - Level 5/85 Macquarie StHobart, TAS
Friday, Mar 6 from 7:15 am to 8:30 am
Overview

A space for men to share their stories of success, failure, hardship and hope intertwined with questions of life, faith and meaning.

The Bridge Fellowship offers a place for guys to share their stories, experiences and reflections over breakfast, in a relaxed setting. We believe these conversations are increasingly rare, but all the more important and good for the soul.

This year we've added a new experience to the calendar: Monthly watch parties. These will exist alongside our traditional local speaker sessions which will be roughly two weeks apart. Our second streamed guest is Justin Sharp - a certified chemist and chemical engineer based in Houston - more info below.

For these watch parties we've decided to scrap breakfast/coffee orders for the sake of simplicity. We'll save those for our monthly local speaker sessions. You can now register for free and simply grab something beforehand if you wish.

You can arrive around 7:15am for a 7:30am start. We then finish at 8:30am sharp to allow plenty of time for getting to work. Further details for accessing the venue will be provided once you have registered.

Third Space has regularly been hosting men's breakfasts around the country. They are designed to create a space for men to share their stories of success, failure, hardship and hope intertwined with questions of life, faith and meaning. People from all walks of life are welcome, regardless of faith background, belief or worldview.

You can contact aaron.johnstone@thirdspace.org.au for further information.

With a background in chemical engineering from James Madison University, Justin Sharp has built a career at the intersection of space technology and environmental sustainability. During his master’s studies, he interned at NASA, gaining firsthand exposure to modern space exploration and collaborative scientific innovation. He went on to work with researchers at NASA’s Johnson Space Center and Rice University, leading research initiatives and co- authoring patents and peer-reviewed publications.

His expertise spans reactor design, space habitat development, advanced materials, environmental remediation, and resource recovery systems. Currently, Justin is pioneering a novel approach to cleaning soil contaminated by persistent “forever chemicals,” developing practical technologies aimed at addressing one of today’s most pressing environmental problems.
