Breastfeeding Education Class, Monday 2 February 2026, Holland Park
Our classes are a service offered by qualified breastfeeding counsellors and breastfeeding educators, who are volunteers in your local area.
Feel confident and prepared to breastfeed by attending one of ABA’s world class Breastfeeding Education Classes.
Our face-to-face classes are delivered by breastfeeding counsellors and educators and run for about 3 hours. They offer small-group interaction and, in many cases, a demonstration of breastfeeding by a new mum.
The sessions aim to expand upon the knowledge gained at hospital antenatal classes, and prepare expectant parents for the vital days, weeks and months after their baby's birth.
Breastfeeding is a learned skill for mums and babies alike. Get the practical skills to help you and your baby establish breastfeeding, as well as solutions for common challenges.
You will learn:
How breastfeeding works
Getting your baby positioned and ready for a comfortable feed Reading your baby’s feeding and other cues How to tell if your baby is getting enough milk Managing the early weeks and possible breastfeeding challenges Where to get help and support when you need it most
For members (who have paid the $90 membership) they receive the class at the discounted rate of $35, plus booking fee, their support person comes for free. If you are not a member but you would like to join to receive the class at the discounted rate, please click here
