Rob Chapman:

Rob Chapman is an accomplished business leader with an extensive executive career spanning the banking, finance, and investment sectors. Appointed Global Chairman of the Investment Attraction Advisory Board in July 2015, Rob brought a wealth of strategic insight and leadership experience to the role.

Born and educated in Adelaide, Rob began his career in the insurance and funds management industries before moving into senior banking roles across Australia. His leadership journey includes serving as Chief Executive Officer of St. George Banking Group (2010–2012) and Managing Director of BankSA (2002–2010). Earlier in his career, he also held executive positions at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, including Regional General Manager for Western Australia, South Australia, and the Northern Territory.

Rob’s influence extends beyond the financial sector. He is the Executive Chairman of Chapman Capital Partners. Currently, he serves as Chairman or Director on several prominent South Australian and national boards, including Coopers Brewery Limited and Adelaide Airport Limited. His previous appointments include Chairman of Barossa Infrastructure Limited, President of Business SA, President of the South Australian Branch of the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA), and Deputy Chair of the South Australian Economic Development Board.

Rob Chapman was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the 2025 Australia Day Honours.

Recognised for his outstanding contribution to business and the South Australian community, Rob was honoured with the 2005 SA Great Award for Business.

He is a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
