BOYD OPEN HOUSES: GILLISON HOUSE - BALWYN
Description
Gillison House 1951
Designed for writers Douglas and Joan Gillison in 1951, the Gillison house demonstrates Boyd’s interest in simple structures and his early experimentation with the concept of the window wall. The glazed diamond-patterned north façade provides a striking visual emphasis for the building.
