Overview

A Stitch In Time are hosting an International Women's Day event, held in the beautiful surroundings of Scarborough Beach on Sunday 8th March

Bound To Becoming H.E.R
Heal. Empower. Rise.

This is an invitation to the woman you are going to become.

Bound To Becoming H.E.R is a soulful, immersive day created to help women gently let go of old stories, beliefs and narratives that no longer serve them and quietly keep us playing small. Together, we’ll create an enjoyable space to release and rise into a more confident, empowered version of you.

Led by our Wellbeing Lead, Michelle Partridge, the day unfolds as a deeply nurturing and energising journey. Expect guided self-reflection, movement, moments of courage, creativity, laughter and meaningful friendships. You’ll try new things, meet beautiful like-minded women and feel held every step of the way, like being wrapped in a warm hug while being encouraged to step bravely forward.

What To Expect

Bear with us… it’s a beautiful mixed bag 💛

We’ll begin the morning getting a feel for the day and setting intentions. Soon after we will move our bodies through dance, a chance to shake off the noise, become one with your body and drop into the present moment.

After a relaxed morning tea, we’ll step into a boxing session (there's no rings, so no pressure!) focused on purposeful breathing, strength and discovering the power and grace behind the sport.

From there, we’ll take a refreshing dip in the ocean, not just to cool down, but as a symbolic release of the narratives you’re ready to leave behind.

Lunch will be shared together from our favourites at CM Poke, before the afternoon slows into something deeply grounding. You’ll be guided through Sashiko, a Japanese-inspired textile art, inviting mindfulness, creativity and calm.

And because we love a little extra magic, there’ll be a raffle on the day filled with beautiful self-care goodies to spoil yourself (or someone special). Raffle tickets will be available to purchase at $2 each or 3 for $5 and your event ticket already includes one entry — so you’re in from the start!

Good luck… and may the self-care gods be in your favour 💛

Throughout the day, you’ll also be supported with a personal journal to capture reflections, insights and intentions, helping you anchor the experience and step forward as the woman you’re becoming, confidently and unapologetically.

Donations

This year we will be supporting Worthy Australia.

Worthy Australia is a Perth based not-for-profit organisation that provides life changing crisis support to women & children who have experienced homelessness due to domestic violence.

Through their Safe Haven program, the volunteers at Worthy Australia turn empty houses into beautiful fully furnished homes for families who without this program, are unable to leave domestic violence refuge.

Therefore we are asking participants to donate toiletries and/or self-care on the day.

Theses items must be new and unopened.

Toiletry Items:

Shampoo & conditioner sets, Body wash, Hair brushes & ties, Loofahs, Face towels, Deodorant etc
